Directions to Dutchess

From Kampala
  • Enter Fort Portal town on A109 and turn left at the T-junction
  • Cross the bridge and up the hill
  • Turn left at the first round-about with the signpost to Dutchess
  • Dutchess is after 300m on the right
From Kasese
  • Enter Fort Portal town and continue at the first round-about
  • Turn right at the second round-about with the signpost to Dutchess
  • Dutchess is after 300m on the right

Public transport

From and to Kampala
  • The best way to travel is with a big bus. Preferably Link bus and otherwise Kalita.
  • Link bus stop in Fort Portal is 15 minutes walk to Dutchess.
  • The Kalita stop is very close to Dutchess only 5 minutes.
From and to Kasese - Mbarara - Beira
  • To the direction of Kasese you can take a Link bus or minibuses that leave from the Kobil petrol station on Kasese road.
  • For Mbarara you need a transfer at Kasese, Link has a direct bus to Beira.
From and to Bundibugyo
  • Minibuses and shared taxis are available near KCB bank on Bwamba road. This is 20 minutes walk from Dutchess.
From and to Kibale Forest - Kamwenge
  • Minibuses and shared taxis are available at the beginning of Kamwege road (crossing Lugard road). This is 5 minutes walk from Dutchess.
